Mark Bealin is the Founder and Managing Partner of SearchLab. He oversees a growing team of SEOs, Paid Search Marketers and Web Developers. Mark founded SearchLab in March 2017. SearchLab earned awards and recognition almost immediately. Under Mark’s leadership, Clutch and Manifest both named SearchLab one of the top agencies in Chicago in 2018.
Mark is an in-demand speaker and contributor at marketing events in and around Chicago. He is sought out for his expertise in SEO, Paid Search and Analytics. Mark co-founded the popular Business Minute Clinic series hosted at SearchLab.

Tell us a bit about yourself, what you do, and what your company does.
I was born and raised in Detroit but Chicago has been my home for the past 12 years. My wife and I have 3 kids Elizabeth (4), Mark (2) and Annie (3 months) and one dog (Murphy is 9). I’m the Founder and Principal at SearchLab. I oversee our operations and manage a team of 11 terrific people. SearchLab is a digital marketing agency that focuses on SEO and Paid Search.
What will you be speaking about at the State of Search Conference this year?
I’ll be talking about Local SEO.
What are the key takeaways you’d like the audience to get when they come to your session?
I’d like the audience to begin to think about local SEO as a process and not a series of ranking factors. I’ll talk about SearchLab’s process for Local SEO. Last, I hope that the audience understands the importance of majoring in majors i.e. Focus on what’s most impactful and mastering it.
