Jenny Halasz is President and Founder of JLH Marketing, a marketing consulting firm focused on sustainable SEO, common sense marketing, and total data transparency through analytics.
Some of the clients Jenny has worked with include: SAP, Four Seasons Resorts, Humana, Priceline, Motorola, Saint Laurent Paris (YSL), CitiFinancial, HP, NBC Stores, and Lions Gate Films.
Jenny is the sole author and VIP Contributor of the Ask an SEO column at Search Engine Journal, has written a column (All Things SEO) for Search Engine Land, and is a regular contributor throughout the industry on podcasts and hangouts. She has spoken at SMX, SMS Sydney, Pubcon, Conversion Conference, Internet Summit, AMA and other national and international conferences.
Growing up, Jenny Halasz didn’t dream of becoming an astronaut or the President — she knew she wanted to work in marketing. With 10 years of experience working for agencies, she took the plunge, starting JLH Marketing in 2011.
An NC State grad, she’s spoken at SMX West, SMX Advanced, and PubCon. This will be her third time speaking at State of Search.
Jenny has an innovative way of approaching SEO. She sees the Search Engines as the gateway into the minds and dreams of your customer. It’s about “context,” she always says, as your content needs to be relevant to what the reader is looking for and experiencing right now.
Jenny loves visiting Texas and has spoken at our DFWSEM meetups in the past. She’s doubly happy to visit now because her brother and new sister-in-law live in Plano. Jenny loves craft beer, especially Love Street from Karbach – so buy her one and she’ll probably drop some tips on SEO or analytics for you.
When you call this Raleigh, NC native, you will hear the theme from Zelda, which tells you a lot about her. When we call Jenny up onstage to speak, you’ll learn a lot about SEO and analytics. Welcome, Jenny!
