Much like her favorite NPR program, Aisha Willis has a way with words.
Initially encouraged to pursue a career in STEM, giving her four years of architecture school, she eventually landed on the communications path, finding the piece and peace that was missing from her life. Who knew design school, retail, and project management would eventually lead there?
She discovered public relations while attending journalism school and nothing has been the same since. While serving as a member of the University of Texas at Arlington’s Public Relations Student Society of America leadership board a friend introduced her to Dallas Fort Worth Search Engine Marketing Association and her niche was decided. For which she is forever grateful.
As a content strategist and creator, Aisha takes the holistic approach, ensuring there is a seamless communications strategy in play. It’s not simply uniform communications, it’s about presenting a company’s or individual’s best self to the world. Digging deep into data allows an organization to tell the best stories to the right audience at the right times. This diligence allows a brand to have its own success, not a solely comparative focused success.
To Aisha, communication is a problem-solving tool and like duct tape, can fix just about anything. Her passion is analyzing how communication affects the built environment to arrive at a better outcome for everyone. After all, Design is another form of communication.
In 2014, Aisha founded The Write Solution, a strategic communications outfit. This allowed her to freelance her way through school and provided many opportunities post-graduation. She has also had the opportunity to work for two well-known agencies to further her SEO and content marketing knowledge.
