|Bio:||Mig Reyes hails from Chicago, IL where he helps with design at the growing company, Basecamp. He’s also the Co-President of the AIGA in Chicago where he regularly speaks. Mig also stopped at MozCon to speak recently.
It’s not uncommon to find Mig hard at work at his favorite coffee shops rather than in the office. He’ll be head-down designing the UI of Basecamp, improving conversion and retention of their user base and prototyping. He’s like a scientist: Trying new ideas, hypothesizing strategies, implementing, repeat.
Mig’s looking forward to the BBQ here in Texas and wearing shorts — maybe even while break dancing. Did you know he started a break-dancing group in high school? He’s not sure if he’s going to work that into his talk… He loves Bulls basketball and happy to take a bet against Mark Cuban that the Bulls will be better than the Mavs this year. Season just started!
Besides designing, Mig is passionate about teaching and mentoring which is why he heads up AIGA Chicago. He also instructs at The Starter League and recently handed the reins over of another project he started, CreativeMornings Chicago.
A busy guy, but if you bring him a hot pizza and a hoppy beer, he’ll be happy to spend time chatting!
